Alameda County Fair announces more drive-in concerts for this weekend
Live music is again returning to the Alameda County Fairgrounds, with two days of concerts featuring tribute bands playing the Pretenders, Fleetwood Mac and Boston.
The Friday and Saturday shows follow previous weekends devoted to the music of The Police, Queen and Heart, as well as ZZ Top, Journey and Van Halen.
Tickets for each night cost $120 per vehicle for general admission and $150 per vehicle for VIP parking. They are on sale now at the Alameda County Fair website. Cars and trucks park on grass and can hold as many people as can legally sit inside.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the concerts will run from 7 to 10 p.m.
The first two concerts proved to be a hit for attendees, many of whom said they would take in live music in whichever form it was presented. Admission prices have risen since the first shows.
