This week, we bring you Americana from Ed Prosek, synth-pop from Samantha Urbani, jazz from Steven Feifke, Latin fusion from Alfredo Rodriguez, folk from Allegra Krieger and the global rhythms of Quantic.

Samantha Urbani, “More Than a Feeling” – Samantha Urbani is the former frontwoman of Brooklyn band Friends. She gets some help on cowriting, producing and recording here from Nick Weiss (aka Nightfeelings), and that eerie whistle you hear in the background is courtesy of champion whistler Molly Lewis. Urbani has previously collaborated with Blood Orange. This melancholy synth-pop song is about realizing a relationship has been a bit one-sided. It’s a little moody, a little edgy, a little new wave – and that whistle is haunting, like an ocarina in an old Western!

Steven Feifke, “Catalyst” – Steven Feifke is a Grammy-winning bandleader, composer and arranger. This tasty jazz number features Feifke on piano and a murderer’s row of jazz musicians, including frequent collaborators Andrew Gould (alto saxophone), John Lake (trumpet) and Bryan Carter (drums). Always keeping the music in motion, Feifke’s big band takes you unexpected places on “Catalyst,” the title track from his new album.

Allegra Krieger, “Lingering” – Allegra Krieger is a master at creating a mood. “Lingering” is a woozy dreamscape you can melt into. “Don’t want to get used to/ How it feels to hold you,” Krieger sings over a droning guitar, recalling Judee Sill with her simple yet powerful vocal. Krieger’s fourth album, I Keep My Feet on the Fragile Plane, is out on July 21.

Alfredo Rodriguez featuring Alana Sinkëy, “Fidju di Lua” – The joy in this toe-tapping track is infectious! “Fidju di Lua” means “trust me” in Portuguese. Sinkëy’s sultry vocals in Portuguese and Creole combine with pianist Rodriguez’s Latin fusion sound, melding reggaeton and folk. Horns bring an irresistible flourish to the proceedings. Rodriguez’s new album, Coral Way, is out Aug. 18.

Ed Prosek, “Ever After (Wedding Song)” – Ed Prosek wrote this song for his wife, and it’s all about finding a person you adore, who makes you better – and proposing to them. “When we met I was a shipwreck of a man/ It didn’t bother you much/ Oh I was worried I’d weighing you down/ But you lifted me up,” Prosek sings over gentle banjo. This lovely, heartfelt track is from the Berlin-based singer-songwriter’s upcoming EP, The Foreigner, which is out Sept. 8.

Quantic featuring Andreya Triana, “Run” – This song is a welcome return from DJ Will Holland, who for the past 20 years has recorded everything from cumbia to EDM under the name Quantic. Cowritten with British singer-songwriter Andreya Triana, this song has horns, a great beat and a stirring call-and-response. As Quantic says, it’s “one for the dance floor creatures, Bluetooth speakers and sun seekers.”

Rachel’s pick: I’m not usually a sap for this kind of stuff, but I found “Ever After (Wedding Song)” so refreshingly sincere without being saccharine. The video is adorable too, full of all different kinds of happy couples getting married. June is the perfect month for a wedding song! Also, if you’ve read any of my previous Tuesday Tracks columns, you know I’m always a sucker for Americana, no matter the time of year.
