Josh Rosenthal is the founder and owner of Tompkins Square record label and author of "The Record Store of the Mind." The San Francisco-based Tompkins Square has received seven Grammy nominations for its diverse catalog of new and archival recordings. It celebrated 10 years in 2015. In "The Record Store of the Mind," Rosenthal ruminates over unsung musical heroes, reflects on 30 years of toil and fandom in the music business, and shamelessly lists some of the LPs in his record collection. T Bone Burnett described has described Rosenthal as "a record man’s record man" and "a musician's record man."
