Halloween Meltdown version of annual concert back on at Mosswood Park
While the Mosswood Meltdown concert, an annual festival previously known as Burger Boogaloo, was postponed to July of next year, a special Halloween Meltdown will still take place over two days at Oakland’s Mosswood Park next month.
Halloween Meltdown will take place on Oct. 16 and 17 and be headlined by Osees.
The festival will again be hosted by John Waters and the lineup also includes the Mummies, the Gories, Seth Bogart, Sheastie Boys, Drug Apartments, Naked Roommate, Body Double, Pomp, Chaki the Funk Wizard, Th’ Losin Streaks, Teutonics, Whateverglades, The Ugly, Bodhi’s War, Hott Laundry and Vaxxines.
Costumes are encouraged and there will be a $500 cash prize for the best costume in a contest hosted by Shannon Shaw of Shannon and the Clams.
Tickets range from $29 for a single day (early bird price) to $139 for a VIP pass for both days. They are available online. Attendees will need to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test results taken no earlier than 48 hours prior to Oct. 16.
