Justin Timberlake, Green Day, Noah Kahan to headline BottleRock Napa Valley

Green Day performs at Oracle Park in San Francisco on Sept. 20, 2024. The East Bay band is one of three headliners at BottleRock Napa Valley 2025. Chloe Catajan/STAFF.
Justin Timberlake, Green Day and Noah Kahan will join more than 80 other acts at BottleRock Napa Valley on Memorial Day weekend. The 12th iteration of the wine country music festival is once again stacked at the top of the marquee with an eclectic trio of headliners; Bay Area punk legends, a pop megastar and a burgeoning singer-songwriter exploding to new heights.
Joining the headliners at BottleRock are singer-heartthrob Benson Boone, alt-rock trio Khruangbin and rock stalwarts Cage the Elephant. Three-day tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the festival’s website.
Timberlake last performed in the Bay Area during his “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour.” It was pretty much inevitable that Green Day would take the stage at BottleRock at some point, since drummer Tre Cool has been a mainstay both as an attendee and on the culinary stage for years. True to form with prior BottleRock lineups, this will also be a family affair. Billie Joe Armstrong’s son Jakob will hit this stage fronting his band Ultra Q, who also opened up Green Day at the Fillmore last year. Green Day is also coming off an arena spectacle at Oracle Park. It will be a first-time appearance as well for the folky Noah Kahan, who’s gone from playing small clubs (and appearing in this publication’s under-the-radar music column) to appearing on “Saturday Night Live.”
BottleRock has gained a reputation as a destination for some of the biggest names in hip-hop, and this year’s bill is no exception. Rappers Ice Cube and E-40 will appear, as will Public Enemy and Flo Rida.
The alternative scene is well-represented with the likes of Sublime, The Story So Far and Chvrches vocalist Lauren Mayberry. Actress and singer Kate Hudson will perform. Danville native and Nashville rising star Grace Bowers will return for a second straight year with her band the Hodge Podge.
Sibling-led band Lawrence is sure to be one of the highlights, and it’s a safe bet the crowd will be singing along for an appearance by 4 Non Blondes. More acts will be announced at a later time.
BottleRock will be held May 23 to 25. As always, the festival’s Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage will return, pairing renowned chefs with an array of athletes, musicians and Bay Area luminaries. The culinary stage lineup will be announced at a later date.
Three-day general admission tickets start at $456, the same as last year, moving higher for the various levels of VIP. The festival often sells out, packing about 40,000 music fans into the Napa Valley Expo.
Additionally, attendees—and everyone else—can choose to donate to FireAid, a benefit concert dedicated to helping people affected by the Southern California wildfires. Festival producers have committed to matching the first $50,000 donated to the fundraiser, available on its website.
The daily lineups are expected to be announced once the festival sells out of three-day tickets. The festival has a track record for moving those weekend passes pretty quickly.
Ed Sheeran, Pearl Jam and Stevie Nicks headlined BottleRock Napa Valley in 2024.
