SF Sketchfest will return to San Francisco from Jan. 7 to 23, producers announced on Tuesday. The 20th incarnation of the festival is also seeking local submissions to perform. Interested comedians or artists performing sketch, stand-up, alternative comedy, music, improv, live podcasts and more can apply at the San Francisco comedy festival’s website. There’ a $10 application fee.

The event was canceled in 2020 and replaced with a streaming program, Festpocalypse.

All of the venues participating in festival performances will follow San Francisco health guidelines and mandates, requiring proof of vaccination from all attendees, performers and staff. A more detailed policy will be announced prior to tickets going on sale in November. SF Sketchfest, founded by David Owen, Cole Stratton and Janet Varney, is the longest-running comedy festival in the U.S.
