Sammy Hagar and Bob Weir today announced the lineup for the eighth annual Acoustic-4-A-Cure benefit concert, which will take place on May 13 at the Fillmore. It’s the first time this benefit show will take place since before the pandemic.

Hagar, who birthed this concert leads a lineup that includes Weir, Michael Anthony, Chris Isaak, Vic Johnson, Taj Mahal, Don Was and Nancy Wilson. As is tradition, there will be some surprise guests as well. Hagar and Weir will also serve as hosts.

The show doubles as a fundraiser for the pediatric cancer program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.

“I’m thrilled that we’re back for an eighth year and back home at the Fillmore in San Francisco where it all began,” Hagar said in a news release. “Most of all, I’m so grateful to my friends and partners who lend their unconditional support year after year. We’re able to produce an arena level show at an intimate venue and keep the ticket prices affordable because these incredible artists donate their time to deliver unbelievable performances, withall of the profits going directly to an incredible cause. That’s my kind of philanthropy!”

The annual concert features acoustic collaborations and impromptu jam sessions. In past years, artists have included Billie Joe Armstrong, Pat Benatar, Jerry Cantrell, Mick Fleetwood, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, James Hetfield, Kris Kristofferson, Tommy Lee, John Mayer, Sarah McLachlan,  Linda Perry, Adam Sandler and many others.

Tickets will go on sale starting this Friday, April 14 at 10 a.m. via Live Nation’s website. Ticket prices and packages were not announced as of press time.
