Blue Note Napa announces extended schedule for Summer Sessions season

Blue Note Napa on Tuesday announced an extended music lineup for its 2023 Summer Sessions at Silverado Resort series, which runs from May through October.

New shows include “American Pie” songwriter Don McClean on June 2 and country singer-songwriter Jake Owen on June 25. Comic, writer and podcaster Heather McDonald will hit the stage on July 22, followed the next day by indie singer-songwriter Andrew Bird.



Les Claypool will open the series with his band Fearless Flying Frog Brigade on May 19. The performance will include the complete Pink Floyd album Animals among other hits from their expansive catalog. Country star Dwight Yoakam will perform on May 20, followed by Emmylou Harris performing on May 21 to close out the opening weekend.

July performances also include Chris Botti, Rufus Wainwright, Brian Culbertson and Oakland’s Tower of Power, as well as Festival De Verano, St. Paul & The Broken Jones, Judy Collins, Dave Koz, Marlan Wayans, and a Latin alternative music event L.A. rockers La Santa Cecilia, Las Cafeteras and La Misa Negra.

Carla Morrison will kick off August shows, which include Marcus Miller, Belinda Carlisle, Madeleine Peyroux, comedians Andrew Dice Clay and Three Dog Night.

Tickets to previously announced concerts are on sale now and newly announced shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
