BroadwaySF announces six Broadway hits coming in 2023-2024
BroadwaySF this week unveiled it’s 2023-’24 schedule, which includes six Broadway musicals coming to the Orpheum and Golden Gate theatres as part of its 2023-2024 season. Productions include a the first revival of “The Wiz” in 40 years, “MJ,” which explores the mind and spirit of Michael Jackson; revival of “Funny Girl,” Marianne Elliot’s Tony-winning take on Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s “Company,” the San-Francisco-set “Mrs. Doubtfire” and “The Girl From the North Country,” which uses a score of Bob Dylan’s catalog.
Additionally, Disney’s Tony-winning “The Lion King” will return for a special engagement, playing the Orpheum Theatre Nov. 22 through Dec. 30. BroadwaySF members get immediate first access to purchase tickets once they renew their membership. New Memberships are on sale now at the BroadwaySF website. Current members can renew through their account or by calling 888-746-1799 (Option 2). Individual single tickets for all productions will go on sale at a later date.
In addition to presenting national theater tours, BroadwaySF will continue to present live music, lectures, comedy and other arts events. On April 19, the organization also announced a performance by actor-comedian Brett Goldstein (“Ted Lasso”) on May 16 at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 21 at 10 a.m.
