The tour began on Aug. 11 in Oklahoma City and Glover had performed 20 shows from the Eastern Seaboard and into Texas. The first show to be canceled was the Austin show on Sept. 10. It was to run through Oct. 3 in North America. The European leg of the tour is still scheduled to begin on Oct. 31 in France. Four dates in Australia and New Zealand are still scheduled for January and February.
Ticket holders are asked to hold onto their tickets until new dates are announced. It’s likely those shows will be after February 2025.
The tour is in support of Glover’s new album, Bando Stone and The New World, which will be paired with an upcoming film of the same name. He has said it will be his final album under the Childish Gambino moniker. This year he’s also released a revamped version of his 2020 album, 3.15.2020, as Atavista.
Early reviews of the tour have gushed over his use of technology and production elements.
