Cyndi Lauper on Monday announced her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour. The 23-city tour, her first extended run in a decade, kicks off on Oct. 18 in Montreal and goes through Dec. 5.

A San Francisco show, at Chase Center, falls toward the end of the tour, on Nov. 26.

Presale tickets go on sale on Tuesday, June 4, and the general sale begins at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, June 7. Along with the tour announcement, billed as Lauper’s farewell, was a documentary film titled “Let the Canary Sing,” which will stream starting on June 4 via Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada. It premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Festival.

The film centers on the life of the Grammy-, Emmy- and Tony-winning songwriter and artist, who’s sold 50 million records. She became the first woman in history to have four top-5 singles from a debut album, including “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.” She’s released 11 albums in all, with hits like “Time After Time” and “True Colors,” and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
