Foo Fighters to perform at Salesforce’s Dreamfest concert in September
Just a few days after headlining Outside Lands Music Festival, the Foo Fighters were tapped to perform at tech company Salesforce’s big Dreamfest concert, a fundraiser for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, in conjunction with its annual Dreamforce conference, on Sept. 13 at Chase Center. Each year, Salesforce hosts one of the biggest music acts to perform.
Tickets for the Dreamfest concert start at $1,000 and include a cocktail reception, the concert and an afterparty with music performers. For more, visit theconcertforkids.org.
The evening will begin with a reception for 22-year-old Selah Kitchiner, who will be presented with the Colin Powell Medal of Courage for her commitment to health equity. Each year, this award is given to a UCSF patient who has demonstrated outstanding courage, empathy or leadership during their treatment.
Kitchiner was diagnosed with liver failure at 13. As she battled the disease, her father passed away from cancer. She received a life-saving transplant at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco, becoming the first to receive a solid organ transplant at UCSF’s Mission Bay campus. She recently graduated from the University of Southern California and is in the process of applying to medical school. Selah is an ambassador for Donor Network West, among other advocacy organizations, using her voice to help counter misinformation and racial disparities in organ transplants and donations.
