Goldenvoice announces new hard rock fest Power Trip in Indio
Concert promoter Goldenvoice on Thursday announced Power Trip, a new hard rock music festival in the desert this fall that will feature Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne and Tool as the headliners.
The production company, which already hosts Coachella and Stagecoach at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, will be challenging Aftershock Fest in Sacramento for the title of biggest hard rock in the state.
The three-day event will take place Oct. 6, 7 and 8, with Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden performing on Oct. 6, AC/DC and Ozzy Osbourne on Oct. 7 and Metallica and Tool on Oct. 8.
Three-Day general admission tickets start at $599 (plus fees). There will be several other ticket types, called “The Pit,” “Reserved Floor,” “Grandstand Seating” options and various VIP packages.
Ticket registration is open now on the festival’s website. On-sales will begin on Thursday, April 6 at 10 a.m. There will be options to pay half of the cost at a later date for general admission tickets.
The festival will include car and tent camping, as well as preset two-person lodges and four-person rents, RV spots and hotel packages. Amenities and activities are available for all campers. Ticket and accommodation packages start at $3,199 (plus fees).
