Green Day partners with 7-Eleven on Slurpee flavor

East Bay punk icons Green Day have partnered with 7-Eleven for a second time, this time on an exclusive Slurpee flavor named for the band’s 1992 album, Kerplunk!

Kerplunk Kandy Grape, made in partnership with the band’s coffee brand, Punk Bunny, “mashes up cotton candy sweetness with juicy grape vibes,” according to a news release. It will be available for a limited time at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores nationwide. The flavor combination has been a staple of the band’s concert riders.

“I have great memories of getting Slurpee drinks with my friends. It’s always perfect on a good day or even a bad one. Being able to create our own custom Punk Bunny flavor and bring it to everyone across the country has been an amazing moment,” Billie Joe Armstrong said in the news release.

Also for a limited time, participating stores will offer “tune-worthy drink accessories” like collectible cups and custom straws with built-in Bluetooth speakers. Each collectible cup features a QR code linking to a Spotify playlist selected by Green Day.

“Kerplunk Kandy Grape is rooted in the band’s story, and we can’t wait for fans to experience this one-of-a-kind flavor,” 7-Eleven, Inc. executive Marissa Jarratt said in the news release.

Green Day previously debuted Punk Bunny coffee at 7-Eleven in 2024, and there band is also unveiling three new exclusive Punk Bunny coffee varieties at participating stores: Mike Dirnt’s Turn Up the Bass Medium Roast, Punk Bunny Cold Brew Caramel Latte and Chocolate Almond Specialty Latte.

In Los Angeles, those who buy this specialty Slurpee the weekend of May 3 can use the cup or a receipt as a ticket to the “Kerplunk Kandy Speakeasy,” a pop-up experience on Saturday and Sunday rom 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 6501 Hollywood Blvd. The pop-up will offer guests new product samples, with free apparel customization and merchandise. The first 100 visitors each day will receive free merch to personalize, including T-shirts, tote bags and hats.

Green Day will also headline BottleRock Napa Valley on Friday, May 23. Some tickets to the festival are still available.
