Mosswood Meltdown producer announces 2023 initial lineup, dates
Local concert producer Total Trash Productions today announced the initial lineup and ticket on-sales for its annual summer punk music festival Mosswood Meltdown.
Next July, the two-day festival at Oakland’s Mosswood Park will be headlined by Le Tigre in the band’s first Bay Area show in 15 years, and also feature Gravy Train!!!!, Tina & the Total Babes, The Rondelles and Quintron & Miss Pussycat. More acts will be announced at a later date. Le Tigre is led by Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill, one of two acts to headline the festival last July.
John Waters will be again return to host Mosswood Meltdown, which will take place on July 1 and 2.
Early bird tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at a temporary discounted price. The early bird pricing is $99 for a general admission two-day pass and $179 for a VIP two-day pass. VIP includes special seated sections, merchandise and the ability to leave and come return. Purchase tickets at the Mosswood Meltdown website.
Total Trash’s Marc Ribak produced two events in 2022, including the main festival in July, which was headlined by Kim Gordon and Bikini Kill (in the band’s first Bay Area show in three decades), as well as the second annual Halloween Meltdown in October.
