Update: Queen and Adam Lambert announce additional Chase Center show
March 31 update: Queen and Adam Lambert have added a second San Francisco date on their Rhapsody Tour, as well as seven additional shows in some cities. The new show will take place on Thursday, Nov. 9. Tickets go on sale on April 7 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased through Live Nation’s or Chase Center’s websites.
Queen and Adam Lambert on Friday announced the return of The Rhapsody Tour for next fall, which includes a stop at Chase Center on Nov. 8. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m.
The Rhapsody Tour kicked off in 2019 in the U.S. before the band, which includes Queen guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, picked it back up in the U.K. and Europe in 2022. Shows ran longer than two hours in what May called the band’s “most ambitious production ever.” May, Taylor and Adam Lambert will be backed by band members Spike Edney (keys), Neil Fairclough (bass) and percussionist Tyler Warren.
The band said that despite numerous changes over the years, the show remains a tribute to the late Freddie Mercury and his legacy and celebration of Queen’s distinguished songbook.
Tickets will go on sale through Live Nation’s website, as well as Chase Center’s website. Queen is following the example set by The Cure.
In an effort to try to minimize resale and keep prices at face value, the ability to transfer tickets will be restricted so that they may only be transferred between fans at the original price.
Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using a face value ticket exchange, including the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange, which is free to use for buyers and sellers. This will be in effect everywhere other than New York, Illinois and Colorado, which have laws in place to protect private ticket brokers.
