Looking for a way to help independent artists? Then you likely already know that streaming doesn’t really do it, paying artists pennies on the dollar.

Run For Cover Records, home to artists like Young Guv, Camp Cope and Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, has decided that all purchases made on its Bandcamp page will be “pay what you can,” with all proceeds going directly to the artists. The label had numerous acts on tour when shows worldwide were canceled by coronavirus prevention measures, such as Horse Jumper of Love, Advance Base, Citizen, Georgia Maq, Portrayal of Guilt and Fiddlehead. Other artists will also soon be affected as more tours are called off in the coming weeks.

“We know the immediate future is uncertain for many, and not everyone who wants to will be able to donate, but for those who can, thank you from us and the greater RFC family,” label representatives wrote in a statement.

To donate, visit the label’s Bandcamp page.
