San Jose Jazz unveils 2022 Winter Fest lineup
San Jose Jazz has announced the return of its annual winter music festival, Winter Fest, which will take place from Feb. 11 to 27 at various venues throughout the South Bay.
The lineup for the 10th annual event includes La Santa Cecilia, The Cookers, Marquis Hill New Gospel Revisited, Chris Pierce and Mason Razavi Quartet.
The tickets for all of the shows are available now at the San Jose Jazz website and range from $20 to $40. The venues include SJZ Break Room, The Continental, Stanford University’s Bing Studio, Hammer Theatre, Mexican Heritage Plaza Pavilion, SJ Womens Club and Club Fox in Redwood City.
The lineup also includes Harriet Tubman, Daniel Ho with Randy Drake and Danna Xue, Mads Tolling Trio with Kenny Washington, Jacam Manricks with Mike Clark, Sasha Berliner, SJZ Collective playing the music of Wayne Shorter, Joe Kye Duo, Black/Pacific: Dispatches from the Noble Savage, a Jazz Organ Fellowship Tribute to Dr. Lonnie Smith, 7th Street Big Band, Chris Cain, Maxx Cabello, Oscar Peñas, MNDSGN / The Changing Same and more to be announced later.
“Winter Fest always serves as a platform for marquee names (La Santa Cecilia, The Cookers) and artistic gems from jazz scenes in metropolitan hot-spots across the world, including right here in the Bay Area,” San Jose Jazz Artistic Director Bruce Labadie said in a prepared statement. “We’re fortunate to have such great venues to partner, ones that anchor Silicon Valley’s growing jazz scene.”
