Usher to follow Super Bowl halftime show with tour, Oakland Arena shows
As Usher gears up to headline the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show in Las Vegas and release a new album, he has announced a nationwide tour that will include two nights at Oakland Arena in September.
The tour comes as the soul music star and eight-time Grammy Award winner finishes up a two-year Las Vegas residency at at Park MGM.
The USHER: Past Present Future tour is advertised as a celebration of his 30-year music career. His ninth album, Coming Home, will be released Friday on new label mega/gamma. The tour includes Oakland Arena shows on Sept. 27 and 28.
There will be a presale for Citi cardholders and Verizon customers starting on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. local time. General ticket sales begin on Monday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. local time at Live Nation’s website.
The tour will also offer a various VIP packages, including premium tickets, meet and greets with Usher, a pre-show VIP Lounge and gifts.
Usher has sold more than 80 million records, appeared on NBC’s “The Voice” and acted in films like “Hustlers.”
