SAN FRANCISCO —  Ski Mask The Slump God incited moshing at his 11th Dimension tour stop at The Midway on Wednesday.

The South Florida rapper, whose name is Stokeley Clevon Goulbourne, got his start on Soundcloud with rap group Members Only along with the late XXXTentacion in 2015. Ski Mask found success with hit 2017 single “Catch Me Outside,” putting him on the map.

Ski Mask emerged backed by TV static in his signature black durag, a red and white sweatshirt, camo shorts, Rick Owens shoes and a massive “Yu-Gi-Oh!” diamond chain. He set the tone for the night with the bass-laden “RIP Roach.”

“This might be the loudest crowd all tour!” he yelled following the explosive start.

Next came “LALA,” off 2018’s STOKELEY; and “Headrush,” off his latest, June’s 11th Dimension. The song had heavy rock and roll influence featuring an electric guitar that backed his distinct vocals.

Ski Mask paid tribute to not only XXXTentacion with renditions of “Jocelyn Flores” and “SAD!” but also another close friend, the late Juice WRLD, with “Legends,” prompting the audience to sing along. Behind him, their pictures flashed on the screen.

“Nuketown” then got the energy back up, where it would stay for the rest of the evening.

Other highlights included “Catch Me Outside,” “BabyWipe,” “Faucet Failure,” and XXXTentacion’s “LOOK AT ME!” Ski Mask ended the night off with q deepccut, “Life Is Short,” off 2016’s VERY RARE LOST FILES.

Atlanta rapper Hardrock (Barry Halloway) preceded the headliner, showcasing an experimental sound influenced by trap. He came out dressed in all black and covered in jewelry, performing tracks like “feel alive” and “bleh.” Hardrock had tons of energy, running across the stage and reminding the audience to open up mosh pits.

Ski Mask’s tour DJ, Scheme, led off his set 20-minute set with XXXTentacion’s “Hope.” He spun Juice WRLD’s “Lean Wit Me” and “Empty,” as well as XXXTentacion’s “#ImSippinTeaInYoHood” and “Revenge,” as well as Kendrick Lamar’s recent Drake diss track “Not Like Us.”

Florida rapper Danny Towers came jumping on stage in an beanie, T-shirt, cargo pants and Nike Air Force 1’s. Towers mostly rapped his collabs with DJ Scheme or Ski Mask the Slump God (the latter of whom did not make a guest appearance). Towers went on to play “Florida Water” before ending with “E-ER”

The energetic Molly Santana led off the evening. Her set’s highlight was “Chain Swangin,” a single from her self-titled album, which she released in April. She constantly struck up conversation with the crowd and took selfies with attendees mid-performance.
