LCD Soundsystem, Steve Lacy, more to play 3-day event at Frost Amphitheater
Concert promoter Goldenvoice on Tuesday announced a three-day curated music event that will bring LCD Soundsystem, Steve Lacy and boygenius—as well as nine more acts handpicked by the headliners—to Stanford Live’s Frost Amphitheater in June.
The three-day concert series is called Re:SET, and it will take place on June 2, 3 and 4. Each day’s headliner got to pick three other acts to perform on their day. LCD Soundsystem, performing on June 2, will be joined by U.K. acts Jamie xx and IDLES, as well as Big Freedia. Steve Lacy headlines on June 3, joined by James Blake, Toro y Moi and Fousheé. Boygenius will conclude the series on June 4 with Clairo, Dijon and Bartees Strange.
Basically, the event is three tours in one, traveling together through 12 cities. The concept is meant to provide artists a “respite from the cookie-cutter summer itinerary of sheds and amphitheaters, while fans get a leisurely day that features full sets from every artist, on one stage with no conflicts,” according to Goldenvoice.
Frost Amphitheater will sell food and drinks from local restaurants, bars. Each concert will also have a philanthropic initiative, in partnership with Propeller, which works with local charities.
Presale registration has opened on the concert series’ website, and each artist will have fan presages between Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. to Feb. 9 at 10 p.m. local time. Another presale for the Stanford Live shows will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Feb. 9. The public on-sale will start on Feb. 10 at 10 a.m., with tickets starting at $100.
Each show will begin at 4 p.m. to give each artist plenty of time on stage.
