Joining festivals throughout the country like BottleRock and Lollapalooza, Outside Lands is going virtual in 2020, with a streamed two-day event on Aug. 28 and 29 that will include a mix of archived performances, new live performances, and interviews with artists, producers and fans.

The artist lineup for “Inside Lands” will be announced in the coming weeks. Among the highlighted content, the virtual event is meant to feature the mall businesses and community that help the festival happen each year. Inside Lands will be streamed only at Twitch, which allows for interaction between those watching. Each will be available at https://www.twitch.tv/sfoutsidelands.

“While we wish we were able to gather in Golden Gate Park this August, we are still looking forward to taking Outside Lands inside and celebrating all that makes the festival such a memorable experience,” said Allen Scott, head of concerts and festivals at Another Planet Entertainment and Outside Lands co-producer. “Our hope is by sharing live performances and interviews from fan favorites and iconic sets from the archives, in addition to shining a spotlight on the small businesses and Bay Area community who are the heartbeat of our festival, we are providing a forum for fans to enjoy the many highlights of the festival safely at home.”
