20th Street Block Party returns Aug. 19

Noise Pop, the promoter of 20th Street Block Party, has announced the return of the annual San Francisco street fair and music festival. The event will return to the Mission on Aug. 19 and proceeds will once again benefit the Mission Language and Vocational School. Performers and vendors have yet to be announced.

The fifth annual festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. General admission will again be free, but  VIP tickets will also be available. Entertainment includes food, drink and art, along with multiple stages along 19th and 20th streets.

Past performances have included Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Mac Demarco, Two Gallants and Nick Waterhouse. Last year’s Block Party saw 20,000 people attend and featured Chicano Batman, Miami Horror, Boulevards and Hazel English.
