Oakland soul rocker Fantastic Negrito will lead a five-band lineup of funk, jam and jazz bands at the Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival in Vallejo on Sept. 18, concert promoters Frazier Trager Presents announced on Wednesday.

The new one-day festival will take place at the Mare Island waterfront, and the promoter promises views of the promenade and historic coal sheds, as well as Vallejo and the Napa River. Additionally, the festival will offer international cuisine by food trucks, Mare Island Brewing Co. beer and wines from around Northern California.

Besides three-time Grammy-winner Negrito, the lineup will include Jackie Greene, Dumpstaphunk, Nashville’s Them Vibes and New Monsoon.

The event will offer artwork, crafts and merch by local artists, and several local jazz bands performing on an acoustic and VIP stage.

Transportation to the festival will be provided by Blue and Gold Fleet ferry boat from both San Francisco (Pier 41) and Sausalito. The board will drop attendees off in the morning at the Mare Island Ferry Terminal (two blocks from the festival entrance) and then transport them back after the festival concludes.

Tickets range from $75 for general admission to $150 for VIP (the latter included valet parking) and are available at the festival’s website. Ferry transportation is an additional $35.
