The Fox Theater in Oakland collecting food and supplies for area nonprofits

The Fox Theater in Oakland is hosting a drive-through dood rive in support of Berkeley Food and Housing Project, and the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center.
It will take place beginning on Nov. 17 and run through Nov. 21. The Berkeley nonprofit is in need of:
- hand sanitizer gel
- holiday socks
- winter gloves
- winter hats
- washcloths
- deodorant
- nail clippers
- laundry soap
- soap
- chapstick
- mouthwash
- razors
The Oakland nonprofit is in need of:
- canned goods
- boxed water
- cereal and instant oatmeal
- instant meals
- vegetable and fruit juices
- vegetable and chicken stock
- dry beans
- ground coffee
- peanut butter and jelly
- macaroni and cheese
- instant rice
- shelf-stable milk boxes
- snacks (fruit cups, snack packs, breakfast bars, etc.)
Donations can be made at the theater, at 1807 Telegraph Ave., during the drive from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21. Online wishlist donations can also be made to the Berkeley Food and Housing Project and the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center.
The Fox Theater will also be giving away a commemorative poster or two tickets to an upcoming concert; once those resume.
