ANAHEIM, Calif. — Fresh off a performance in San Francisco, rapper Offset brought his Set It Off Tour to the House of Blues in Downtown Disney on Monday. The former Migos member’s solo album of the same name marked a new chapter in his musical journey. On tour, Offset promised to bring a new version of himself and a fresh sound backed by a live band and an impressive lineup of dancers. The show was a declaration of Offset’s personal growth, a celebration of his recent solo album and a desire to deliver a performance unlike anything his fans had seen before.

Offset’s entrance onto the stage was nothing short of spectacular. The artist, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, emerged from a hidden riser at the top of a white staircase. Bathed in the glow of two spotlights, Offset and two male dancers leaped into action, their movements perfectly synchronized as cannons at the front of the stage erupted in bursts of smoke. As the opening notes of “Say My Grace” filled the air, Offset made his way down the staircase, eventually making it to the front of the stage.

Cruising through “Fan” and “Broad Day” from Set It Off, Offset showed off his own dance skills and charisma. Sandwiched between his dancers, he matched their dance moves. His full band—another highlight of this tour— was sectioned off in boxes at each corner of the stairs. The energy created by the musicians, dancers and production that included colorful lasers stuck around through the entire show.

In addition to performing tracks from Set It Off, Offset threw down some of his featured collaborations with others, such as “Rap Saved Me” (with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin) and “Danger (Spider)” (with J.I.D). Paying tribute to his tour opener and album guest star, Offset brought Mango Foo back on stage to perform “Skyami” right before he slowed things down slightly with “Don’t You Lie.” Bathed in a single spotlight and singing behind a mic stand, Offset showed he can be vulnerable at times.

“If you have love for my brother Takeoff, let me see you light this place up,” Offset called out multiple times before running through a handful of Migos songs like “Fight Night,” “Last Memory” and “Narcos.”

Without ever leaving the stage for an encore break, Offset finished the night with Metro Boomin collab “Ric Flair Drip,” which had the crowd cheering along, and Migos’ “Bad and Boujee.”

The other acts on the bill included Southern rappers Mango Foo and SleazyWorld Go, as well as Detroit MC Skilla Baby.

Skilla Baby (Trevon Gardner) started his set with a partial a cappella rendition of “Gorgeous,” giving the audience a taste of the theme for his night. As he moved around stage, he would often cut the music and encourage the crowd to sing his songs. After a few tracks including new single “Bae,” he removed all of his chains and his shirt, and spent the rest of his set either up on the barricade or smack dab in the middle of the audience. He memorably led the crowd in a singalong to “We Are Young,” by pop band fun.

SleazyWorld Go came out in red sweats and a custom gun-shaped “Sleazy” chain. Making the crowd work for its entertainment, he proceeded to jump down from the stage and encouraged each side of the room to yell as loud as it could. After identifying that the right side of the crowd was “hype AF,” the rapper, who’s real name is Joseph Daniel Isaac, stepped up onto the barricade itself and spent most of his set rapping to the right side. To the winners go the spoils, and all that.

Mango Foo (Michael Millhouse) opened the night with his Atlanta style and swagger. He was dressed in a full black outfit other than for a pop of white peeking through his jacket and the shine of his chain around his neck. Mango Foo, quickly took control of the stage and bounced back and forth while rapping his songs like “Ask Somebody” and “Go Big.”
