Radio Roman: Graffiti6, ‘Colours’

“Colours,” from British duo Graffiti6, is another take on the soul-pop and dance genres that musician-producers from the U.K. seem to be so fond of right now (think Mark Ronson).

In this case, we have singer-songwriter Jamie Scott and songwriter-producer Tommy Danvers (who goes by TommyD) — both London-born multi-instrumentalists who began making music together in 2009.

The sound ranges from poppy and psychedelic on “Stone in My Heart” and “Annie You Save Me,” to smoky on “This Man” and “Calm the Storm,” to R&B on “Free.”

Listen to: “Colours,” perhaps the most unique song of the set, a shimmering pop tune.

Grade: C+
