Weezer taking the Flaming Lips, Dinosaur Jr. on the road to celebrate debut album

Weezer will be hitting the road later this year to mark the 30th anniversary of its self-titled debut LP, known as the Blue Album. The alt-rockers will play the album in full, along with other hit and fan favorites. To top it off, they’re bringing The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. along as support.
The Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour kicks off in Saint Paul, Minnesota on Sept. 4. The Bay Area gets the penultimate show, at Chase center in San Francisco on Oct. 9.
There will also be a presale for Citi cardholders beginning at 9 a.m. local time on March 13 and run through 10 p.m. the following day via the Citi Entertainment website. Weezer mailing list fans will also have access to a presale that begins on Wednesday, March 13 at 12 p.m. local time. The general sales will begin Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. local time via the band’s website.
